Teens who want to start driving and get their Indiana learner’s permit and driver’s license must first successfully complete an Indiana state-licensed BMV driver’s education course. This includes completing coursework as well as hands-on driving practice.
You have to be at least 15 years of age to take a driver’s ed course in Indiana.
Yes, it does. Our online-based Indiana driver’s ed school is fully licensed by the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) and meets all of the necessary requirements.
Our teen-centric driver’s ed program is 30 hours long (that’s the minimum amount of instruction you need to pass the course). It utilizes a mix of video, animation, audio clips, graphics, and other visual cues to help you retain your driving knowledge. You can complete the course at your own pace and log in when you have the time, and in the end, you will learn everything you need to know about being a safe driver. Each chapter features a quiz at the end, and there is a 30-question final exam you’ll need to take and pass at the before completing the course.
You can pay online using PayPal or a credit or debit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex, and Discover cards. If you would rather submit your payment some other way, you may contact our friendly customer support team to submit payment over the phone at 800.660.8908
You can take it again; we won’t charge you for taking it as many times as you need. You’ve got this!
After you receive a passing grade for the final driver’s ed exam, you’ll receive a certificate that proves that you successfully completed the course. Take that certification to a state-licensed driving school to start your hands-on behind-the-wheel training. A representative at the school will give you a certification of enrollment, and you can then apply for your permit at the BMV.
