Yes, we are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (DOE) and are an online curriculum provider for Driver Training Services. Note: You do not have to go to Driver Training Services to do our online driver education course. Once you complete the driver’s ed course, you will receive your certificate by email from our partner within 5 days of completing the course.

If you are 15-18 years old, living in Pennsylvania, are applying to get a senior license before you turn 18, then you can take this online Drivers Education course. We also offer our classes to adults aged 18 and up. You don’t have to be a teen to enroll in our entertainingly comprehensive driving program. We’ll offer you a fun learning experience either way. If you’re currently out of town in Virginia or a different state, you can still register. As long as you’re a Pennsylvania resident, our course qualifies you for official documentation in that area.

Yes, you can. You must be 16 to get your permit, but you can be under 16 to start the online driver education course.

We’d like to emphasize that no one is required to enroll in a course. So if you want to take our schooling at a much later date, there is no pressure. You might feel more comfortable becoming a new student after you turn 19. Individuals that make that choice won’t have less of an experience than those who are 14. No matter what age our courses are brand new to you, we’ll still help you obtain the official driving documentation you need to travel on the road. A teen must have a parent or guardian qualified to drive on the road to help them with vehicle operation.

Make sure you bring your Non-Commercial Learner’s Permit Application (form DL-180), application fee (check, money order, or payment card. Cash not accepted), Parent/Guardian Consent Form (form DL-180TD), proof of Date of Birth, proof of Identification, two acceptable proofs of residency, and Social Security Card.

Per Pennsylvania state requirements, the online Drivers Education course is 30 hours, just like all classroom courses. You can log in and out of this online drivers ed course as often as you like.

No. You can use multiple devices, and switch between devices as often as you like for this Pennsylvania course.

The driver education certificate of completion is sent directly to you within 5 days upon completing the online course’s 30 hours and final exam. This certificate must be presented to the DOE along with a certificate proving completion of six hours of in-car training in order for you to qualify for an insurance discount and a senior license.

There are no other fees for our online drivers education course.

Next steps include taking a 6-hour behind the wheel training course. That cost varies depending on the school. It can be $200.00 to $600.00.

No, you cannot. When you have your permit, you’re only allowed to drive with a licensed driver at least 21 years of age, a parent or guardian, or spouse at least 18 years old and holds a license with the same or higher class vehicle that appears on your learner’s permit.

You can take your driving test at your local PennDOT or a state approved driving school (End-of-Course Skills Testing Program). You can also call your local school district to see if they are state approved by PennDOT and offer the test as a driving school.

You can complete this online drivers education course at your own pace, there are no due dates.

We’d like to emphasize that other states have different qualifications. Driving students in other territories have limitations on when they can complete their classes. The reason we’d like to make that clear is in case you suddenly need to move and have to be a driver in a different state. We know that our students are busy with their grade schools and jobs, so we let them take their time at their convenience. Our classes can do that because Pennsylvania doesn’t have laws restricting the hours or days for completion.

If you already have your junior license, once you turn 18 it will automatically turn into a senior license!

Once you are at least 16 1/2 years old, have had your learner’s permit for at least 6 months, and have completed 65 hours of behind the wheel practice with a guardian or driving school (Form DL-180C), you can obtain your junior license by passing a road test. For the first 6 months you cannot drive anyone under the age of 18 unless a family member is in the car with you.

After 6 months, you cannot drive more than 3 passengers under the age of 18 a guardian is in the vehicle with you.

You cannot drive between 11 PM and 5 AM without a parent/guardian or spouse (18 years or older) as your front passenger, unless you are a member of a charitable service, a volunteer fire company, or employed during those hours. Your notarized affidavit or certificate of authorization must be with you at all times!

You cannot have more passengers in the vehicle than the number of seat belts.

The family member must be a legal driver with official documentation, but not if they exclusively completed a drivers ed class without receiving formal authorization. When you’re finished with driving school and receive your junior driving ID, you can have a single passenger in the vehicle under 18 if they are an immediate family member that lives with you. Getting a violation doesn’t require you to enroll in a drivers ed class again. The most you’ll get is a suspension, and you won’t be able to reduce the consequences by spending more time at our driving school. You can register for our course again to brush up on traffic rules. Driving on your own can take some getting used to, so make sure you take it slow!

You’ll need to bring your learner’s permit, and the Parent or Guardian Certification Form (Form DL-180C). Also, make sure you have the registration paperwork, valid state inspection and emissions stickers, and insurance for the car you will be using for the driving test and that it is in good working condition. Yes, make sure you bring your drivers ed proof of completion certificate. You can log in to your online account and print it at any time.

You can retake your Pennsylvania driver’s license test after 7 days. If you are over 18, you only have to wait one day to retest. If you happen to fail three times, you will have to get a new permit.
